Letters in a box
I have recently begun to worry about storage space. Even though I now receive more responses from readers by email than in the post, there is nothing like receiving a package of beautifully produced letters from a class of children.
I have occasionally received a box of letters, like this long concertina that popped up out of a specially covered box from children at Rathfern Primary School in south London a couple of years ago. Of course I have kept it!
Email has allowed me to have some really interesting exchanges with readers, especially with readers in other parts of the world where posting would be expensive. But I hope there will always be a place for paper letters where I can hold in my hand something created by hand by someone else.
But I am still left wondering about storage!
